These two have been with us since day one…literally, they were the one of the first clients to EVER book us for a shoot, before even having a portfolio to show for ourselves. They saw our potential and their trust, love and support was has been unwavering from the beginning! We’d been anxiously awaiting their wedding for almost two years and can’t believe how fast that time flew by! It’s not until you’re in the wedding planning process yourself that you realize just how fast life passes by and to truly savor every moment of it, especially during such a meaning and momentous experience in your lives!
The day called for nothing but rain and thunderstorms in the forecast but these two babes didn’t care one bit – all that mattered was that they were about to make it official as husband and wife and commit themselves to each other for life. Their venue, The Senate Garage in Uptown Kingston, made for some of the most beautiful indoor and outdoor backdrops, with exposed brick and copper beams filling the space from floor to ceiling. Plus, there is so much rich history that fills the building, as it was the old Senate house when Kingston was the first capitol of New York!
The day went off without a hitch – the skies opened up and it non-stop rained the entire day…but right when the first look was about the happen, the wedding gods heard us and the rain stopped for literally five minutes, as the four of us sprinted outside for the first look and portraits, before it started down pouring again!
We went back inside to dry off and hid in the corner of the room as the two of them tearful exchanged vows, while admiringly staring at each other – it was such a special moment, watching them finally realize that this was in fact their wedding day and that all of their friends and family were there to celebrate the start of the greatest chapter together.
The room was draped in the most breathtaking florals, grown and arranged by Shuheng of Athabold Flowers, located in Germantown, NY. The brides Berta wedding gown was straight out of a magazine and Leah looked like an absolutely bombshell, rocking that glamour hard! Not to mention how handsome Chris looked in his crispy black Tux.
And the ceremony was absolutely flawless…..
The entire day was a true fairytale to capture and be part of. It’s client and weddings like these that remind us of just how lucky we are to capture and be part of the biggest moments of peoples lives. We always remind ourselves that we’re capturing and preserving your memories for generations to come and that in 50 years, when our couples are showing their grandkids their wedding photos, it will be our images that they will be holding on to.
With all of that being said, congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman! Can’t wait to watch your family grow and to continue capturing your memories for till the end of time!
